    Solvent Recovery: Evolution Series

When safety, automation and configurability truly make the difference in solvent distillation

Solvent distillation is now one of the most effective strategies for reducing costs, improving safety and making industrial processes more sustainable provided that the technology used is designed to operate continuously, in a controlled manner and in full compliance with regulations.
In industrial processes where solvents are an integral part of the production cycle, their management cannot rely on improvised or partial solutions.

This is exactly the context in which CIEMME’s Evolution Series solvent distillers are positioned: a range designed for complex, high-volume industrial applications, where automation and reliability truly make the difference.

Solvent distillers: a strategic solution for industry

In many industrial sectors—from chemicals to printing, from coating to flexo plate production, solvents are used for cleaning or other process treatments.
Over time, solvents become contaminated and unusable, turning into a cost rather than a resource.

    This leads to:

    • the purchase of new solvent
    • storage of waste solvent
    • disposal as hazardous waste

A solvent distiller allows up to 90% of the solvent to be regenerated, drastically reducing:

    • solvent supply costs
    • volumes of waste to be disposed of
    • risks associated with the storage of dirty solvent

The Evolution Series was developed specifically to meet these needs in highly structured production environments.

Evolution distillers: one platform, multiple application sectors

Evolution Series solvent distillers are modular units, available in dedicated versions to suit different industrial applications:

All models share the same design philosophy: automation, integrated safety and advanced configurability.
They feature state-of-the-art technology for managing the distillation process and recovering all types of solvents and thinners.

You can set up continuous or vacuum distillation, automatic system cleaning, and remotely control every phase of the distillation process.

How an Evolution Series distiller works

The Evolution Series is designed for fully automatic, controlled operation, minimizing human intervention.
In summary, the distillation cycle includes:

    1. contaminated solvent is automatically loaded from drums or collecting tanks via certified pneumatic pumps
    2. the boiling chamber is filled to the preset level through level control sensor
    3. the system starts with controlled heating and distillation
    4. regenerated solvent vapors are condensed and automatically transferred to the collection drum
    5. at the end of the cycle, residues are cooled and safely discharged at a preset temperature

The entire process is managed by a Siemens PLC, ensuring monitored, repeatable process parameters.iemens, che garantisce il controllo costante e la ripetibilità dei parametri di processo.

    Automation, safety and production continuity

What sets the Evolution Series apart from simpler solutions is its focus on everything that happens before, during and after distillation:

    • automatic loading and unloading
    • level and temperature control
    • safe management of residue discharge
    • ATEX Zone 1 certification
    • integration with existing tanks and systems.

This makes the Evolution Series suitable not only for solvent recovery, but also for becoming a stable, integrated part of the production process.

Choosing an Evolution Series distiller means investing in operational continuity, with a structural reduction of costs.
It ensures greater safety for operators and equipment, while maintaining regulatory compliance over time.

It is not a “temporary fix”, but an industrial system designed to grow alongside your company.
